Italian Aviation Engines

This engine was developed by Fiat Company from a model of the Pratt & Whithney with a complete redesign that had changed almost completely original substance, in order to have an engine that takes into account the parsimony in the use of strategic materials introduced by “Autarchia” (it was a political decision to reduce all importations , in Italy from other nations, of strategical materials as Tungstene or Wolframie and very expensives others ) . He was a successful model engine, very reliable and sizes small enough impact that it can be used on single-engine fighter aircraft. Fiat had assured all machine tools to produce it in series and its production line was already in place and ensured a continuous revenue of a large number of engines.
